Welcome! Below you will find the current author and vendor opportunities for TropiCon Book Expo and Pages-n-Palms.
Each event has its own format, schedule, capacity, pricing, and application. Full-scale TropiCon events may span two or three days and include programming in addition to the public book signing. Pages-n-Palms is TropiCon’s true one-day book expo.
Please read the description and policies before submitting an interest form. An interest form is an application—not a contract, invoice, or guarantee of acceptance.

Fast Layne LLC creates family-friendly, all-ages book events where readers can discover new books and authors and vendors can connect with the people who support their work.
Our events are designed to provide bookish escapism from the pressures and divisions of everyday life. TropiCon does not exclude participants because of their political affiliation or personal viewpoint. However, political campaigning, partisan promotion, candidate materials, and conduct intended to turn the event into a political forum are not permitted in official event spaces.
TropiCon does not permit erotica, pornographic imagery, nudity, sexually explicit displays, lewd props, or other adult-only materials at its family-friendly events. Authors writing romance or other mature genres remain welcome when the books and displays presented at the event comply with these standards.
Professional security may be present in uniform or plain clothes. All event security operates in accordance with applicable law, venue requirements, and TropiCon safety procedures.
APPLICATION AND ACCEPTANCE
Applications are generally reviewed in the order received. Acceptance may also depend on available space, event format, category balance, product suitability, compliance with event policies, prior event conduct, and the overall reader and guest experience.
Fast Layne LLC does not discriminate in violation of applicable law. We reserve the right to decline an application or future business relationship for legitimate safety, operational, contractual, policy-compliance, or event-suitability reasons.
Applicants who are invited to participate will receive a Square agreement containing the event-specific terms, fees, deadlines, inclusions, and expectations. A table is not reserved until the required agreement has been completed and the mandatory payment or deposit has been received.
Please do not submit an application unless you have reviewed the event description and policies and are prepared to comply with the agreement for that event.
HUMAN-CREATED WORKS POLICY
Effective August 28, 2026
TropiCon and Fast Layne LLC celebrate and support human-created books, artwork, and bookish products.
Authors and vendors may not display, distribute, or sell books, cover art, illustrations, merchandise, or other creative products containing material substantially generated by generative artificial intelligence.
This restriction applies to the creative works and products presented for sale or distribution through our events. It does not regulate an exhibitor’s independent, off-site business practices or prohibit ordinary assistive technology used for administrative or marketing support, such as scheduling, research, brainstorming, proofreading, analytics, advertising tools, accessibility, or file preparation.
Artwork submitted for inclusion in official TropiCon or Fast Layne LLC graphics, programs, signage, websites, social media, or event promotions must be human-created. TropiCon will not knowingly incorporate generative-AI artwork into its official public-facing creative materials.
By applying, the applicant confirms that, to the best of their knowledge, the creative works and products they intend to bring to the event comply with this policy. Authors and vendors are responsible for confirming the origin and permitted use of text, artwork, illustrations, and other creative material provided by publishers, designers, contractors, or other third parties.
Fast Layne LLC does not independently inspect or authenticate every stage of an exhibitor’s creative process. Acceptance into an event is not a certification or guarantee by TropiCon regarding any participant’s work.
If Fast Layne LLC receives a credible concern or reasonably believes that displayed material violates this policy, the organizers may request relevant information and may require the material to be removed from display, promotion, distribution, or sale. Refusal to comply may result in removal from the event and exclusion from future Fast Layne LLC events, subject to the applicable signed agreement and applicable law.
Fast Layne LLC will address concerns reasonably and in good faith but cannot guarantee that a participant will never misrepresent or conceal how a work was created. The presence of a work at a TropiCon or Pages-n-Palms event does not constitute Fast Layne LLC’s certification or endorsement of its production method.
This policy applies to applications submitted on or after August 28, 2026. Its application to previously contracted participants will be determined by their existing agreements and any later written acknowledgment.
